27. b (nuts). Nuts are rich in polyunsaturated fat, they lower cholesterol, and nut eaters have a lower risk of heart disease. In contrast, there's no good human evidence that tea (green or black) or coffee protects the heart. So far, only one study has found that a modest serving of chocolate lowered blood pressure. Soy protein appeared to lower cholesterol in early studies, but not in recent, better designed ones.
